Juan Carlos Ruiz(Opens in a new window) is an accomplished singer and multi-instrumentalist from Venezuela who focuses on the traditional and popular repertoire of Venezuela and South America. His voice carries the influence of artists such as Alfredo Sadel, Jesus Sevillano, and Carlos Gardel, but his unique approach allows him to create a sound that is both traditional and contemporary. He recently joined forces with Berklee alumnus Maurizio Fiore(Opens in a new window), a guitarist and cuatro player also from Venezuela.
