Gregory Groover Jr. B.M. '15 is a tenor saxophonist who has possessed a passion for music since he was 10. In 2011, Groover enrolled at Berklee College of Music on a full-tuition scholarship. He was selected to perform at many concert series at the college in addition to festivals such as the Heineken Jazz Festival, the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival, and the Panama Jazz Festival. One of his proudest achievements was being accepted into the Berklee Global Jazz Institute.

In 2015, Groover earned a Bachelor of Music degree and is pursuing a Master of Music degree at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. At this performance, the Gregory Groover Jr. Quintet will present its most recent project, featuring Groover's arrangements of negro spirituals and original compositions. The ensemble recently recorded an EP, to be released this summer, featuring these arrangements.
