Eric Germán was born in Massachusetts and from a young age found a deep interest in Latin music, specifically in playing timbal and congas. He has played with big names such as Cheo Feliciano, Andy Montañez, Ismael Miranda, Larry Harlow, Maelo Ruiz, and other legendary salsa musicians. He has also played in some of the most recognized jazz bars and festivals such as Wally's Jazz Club, Ryles Jazz Club, Scullers, Regattabar, and Springfield Jazz Festival, among others.
