Welcome to our annual Fall Brass Showcase, a department-wide competition featuring three of the top bands selected from a pool of audition submissions. These exceptional ensembles will compete in tonight’s concert for the chance to be featured alongside our special guest at the Spring Brass Showcase.

Bell Thompson is a trumpet player and composer originally from Seattle, Washington. Thompson's melodic and expressive trumpet playing embraces the jazz tradition, and characterizes her unique artistic voice. 

Trumpeter and singer Aybie Drori will perform her original songs with her band featuring a combination of alternative jazz, indie, and R&B.
