Bird LIVES! An Evening with Carl Woideck (Virtual Event)
In the first program of our Charlie Parker tribute, saxophonist, jazz historian, and author of Charlie Parker: His Music and Life Carl Woideck will give an overview of Bird's life and musical career.
This event is part of our series of Facebook Live events celebrating the 100th anniversary of Parker’s birth and including such speakers as Woideck; Lewis Porter, a pianist, composer, and musicologist, who will discuss Parker's work in the '40s and '50s; and Charles McPherson, esteemed alto saxophonist, in conversation with Berklee's Woodwind Department Chair Walter Smith III. Help us celebrate Parker's enduring legacy by joining us.
