Multi-DAW Workflows for the Songwriter/Producer

Course Number
SW-425
Description

This course explores songwriting and production workflows using multiple DAWs for one project. The practice of using one or more DAWs for creative endeavors, and another for recording and mixing dates back to the earliest days of computer music production. Students will learn DAW specific file structures & asset management in order to leverage strengths of each platform in order to cross-collaborate creatively. Through a series of hands-on projects, they will learn techniques for incorporating the unique attributes of various DAWs to give writer-producers first-hand experience as to how many contemporary recordings are made today, providing them with a competitive edge in the current marketplace.
