Culminating Experience Project Development

Course Number
PS-692
Description

CE Project Development builds on CE Project Proposal and continues the culminating experience sequence. In this course, students work closely with their faculty advisor to further develop, execute, and refine their culminating experience project.

Beginning in the first week and continuing throughout the semester, students meet regularly with their advisors to receive feedback, guidance, and support as they execute their culminating experience and advance their academic and professional goals. Advisors assist students in meeting required milestones and deadlines and in preparing for the transition from graduate study to professional practice.

The course is structured around alternating group and individual meetings. Students meet as a cohort in group sessions every other week, and in the intervening weeks meet individually (one-on-one) with their faculty advisors. Group meetings provide a shared guidance on developing and refining culminating experience projects, and a forum for peer feedback, discussion, and problem-solving, while individual meetings focus on project execution, refinement, and personalized advising.

Throughout the semester, the course includes structured checkpoints at which students present the progress of their culminating experience projects. These checkpoints allow faculty and students to track development, assess progress, and provide timely feedback, ensuring the successful completion of each student’s culminating experience.
