Culminating Experience Project Development
CE Project Development picks up where CE Project Proposal leaves off, continuing the CE Project sequence. Students will work closely with their faculty advisors to conceive and develop their culminating experiences—practical, creative, or research projects enabling the students to make contributions to their field of study and to develop their academic and career goals. Meetings between the students and advisors will begin during the first week of the first semester (or during orientation) and continue until the final week of the program. Students will present ideas and receive feedback, advice, support, suggestions, guidance, and more from their advisors as they design and execute their culminating experiences and plan their academic and professional careers. Advisors will guide students in meeting the various deadlines and milestones required as students complete their culminating experiences, prepare for graduation, and prepare for their careers.
In addition, students will meet as a cohort every week in the class course. The class meetings will help students focus and define their culminating experience thesis projects. The course will offer three checkpoints for the students to present the progress of their project. This will allow the faculty and the students to track the development of each student’s culminating experience project throughout the semester.
