Description

This second course of the series shifts focus to the human element of live production, exploring the specialized roles, responsibilities, and collaborative workflows that make professional events successful. Students will learn the distinct functions of audio assistants, mixing engineers (FOH, monitor, broadcast, playback), musical directors, stage managers, choreographers, production managers, camera directors, lighting directors, and visual content directors. Emphasis is placed on communication, teamwork, and the creative and technical decision-making processes that occur throughout pre-production, rehearsal, and live performance. The course overall encourages students to choose the tools and methodologies that will meet the artistic requirements of the project.
