Innovation Analysis and Application 2

Course Number
MILI-311
Description

Building upon MILI-310 Innovation Analysis and Application 1, this course enables students to take their design and innovation skills to the next level. Rather than being presented with pre-formulated design challenges and case studies, they will learn advanced research and discovery methods to identify problems or business opportunities within the music industry and how to formulate an effective challenge question.

Once the design challenge has been framed, students will go through the process of generating, prototyping, testing, and evaluating creative solutions. Additional emphasis will be placed on identifying and considering the users’ available resources and timeline. Finally, the culminating experience will be to create a detailed implementation plan in the form of a pitch.
