Innovation Methodologies

Course Number
MILI-210
Description

Building upon MILI-110, this course will define innovation and its various forms (e.g. incremental, disruptive, breakthrough, etc.), as well as explain its relationship to collaborative design theories and processes.

The course will explore systematic approaches to creative thinking and problem-solving by providing an overview of some of the most widely used innovation methodologies. Students will identify and learn about the activities and principles shared by these different methodologies (e.g., research, ideation, prototyping, etc.) and begin putting them into practice. This understanding of these common threads will also provide students with the framework to begin developing their own innovation methodologies.
