This course provides an in-depth exploration of artificial intelligence (AI), establishing a solid foundation in essential AI concepts such as machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing. It delves into AI's broad impact on business and society, with a specific focus on the music industry. Students will examine AI's impact on various sectors within music and the creative industries, including content creation, marketing, recommendation systems, music production, songwriting, and more. The course also addresses ethical considerations, particularly concerning intellectual property and name and likeness rights as they pertain to musicians. Throughout the course, students will actively engage with AI tools and work on developing creative projects or business solutions that leverage AI technology, fostering a practical understanding of how AI can be implemented in real-world scenarios.
