This course provides an in-depth exploration of Extended Reality (XR) technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and the Metaverse. Designed for students with no prior coding experience, the course covers the fundamentals of these cutting-edge technologies and their applications across various industries, with an emphasis on the music industry. Through a dynamic blend of hands-on activities, case studies, and guest lectures, students will not only learn the foundations of XR, but also how to conceptualize and plan engaging XR experiences. The curriculum focuses on practical skills and user-centric design principles, preparing students to create innovative and inclusive XR solutions. Additionally, the course integrates ethical considerations and explores future trends, equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the XR landscape and its potential for transformative applications in the music industry and beyond.
