Description

The Beatles were one of the most influential popular music acts of the 20th century, inspiring millions of fans and artists who came after. Students will examine how social, political and musical movements such as “Beatlemania,” drug culture and psychedelia, and new types of recording technology created the perfect storm that was the Beatles. Throughout this course, assigned readings will supplement music and video recordings as a guide to the greatest musical sensation of the last generation.
