Description
The Music of Joni Mitchell is a harmony-driven course which builds on the Berklee core music curriculum foundation by deeply examining Joni Mitchell’s harmonic language and its application in both analysis and composition. Topics covered include Mitchell’s harmonic concepts, melodic principles, text/lyrics, song form and arrangements, production/recording techniques and most importantly, her guitar tunings and voicings. Additional topics will include biographical details and the ways in which her paintings and drawings influenced/depicted her music.
