Vocal Improvisation Ensemble 2: R&B

This course is an intermediate ensemble for vocalists focusing on improvisation skills in the R&B idiom. Topics will include melodic and rhythmic phrasing embellishments using tone colors and hearing basic blues patterns.

Students will write lead sheets/chord charts.
