Description

The Contemporary Christian Ensemble is an instrumental and vocal ensemble designed to help intermediate students improve their knowledge of a wide variety of music within the contemporary Christian genre ie: funk, pop, rock, Latin, country, and worship music. In this series of supervised lessons and rehearsals, students gain experience critically listening, learning, teaching and performing music for the purpose of understanding the role of instrumentalists within a band in order to bring to life the spirit of this faith-based music. This course emphasizes hearing and expressing musical ideas with stylistic integrity, as well as melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic accuracy.
