The Latin Pop and Rock Ensemble

Description
The Latin Pop and Rock Ensemble is an advanced group assembled to study the intricacies of the style with a focus on, but not limited to, artists such as Santana, Selena, Los Claxons, Saratoga, The Cruzados, etc. Students are encouraged to develop a well-sequenced and formatted show of covers as well as original music written by the ensemble. Students participate in weekly supervised rehearsals. This course emphasizes stylistic integrity; melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic accuracy; and performance abilities.
