The Hip-Hop Rating 4 Ensemble

Description

This ensemble performs the music and studies the history of hip-hop culture and its influences; students then apply those studies to their own compositions. In this course, students participate in weekly supervised rehearsals in which they study footage of shows, develop a cohesive set, and rehearse that set in preparation for a final performance. This course emphasizes stylistic integrity, as well as melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic accuracy.
