Description

The Berklee Asia Rising ensemble explores and celebrates pop, R&B, and hip-hop created by artists of Asian descent or those from the Asian American diaspora and their collaborations with the global entertainment music industry. The class will take a forward-looking approach in further examining the phenomenon of the rise of Asian and Asian American artists within the global music industry starting in the 2000s. Artists explored include 88 Rising, Tia Ray, BTS, J-Park, Fujii Kaze, Black Pink, Jhené Aiko, Mitski, Yvette Young, and many more. This ensemble is by audition only.
