The Berklee Asia Rising Ensemble (BAR) celebrates the evolution of Asian and Asian American pop, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop in the global music industry. The ensemble examines the creative impact of artists from Asia and the Asian diaspora, including their collaborations, performance techniques, production approaches, and international influence on contemporary music culture.

The class focuses on artist and talent development, professional music industry engagement, cross-cultural collaboration, and the intersections of Asian, Asian American, and Western entertainment markets through live performance, professional video production, and social media content creation. Featured artists include 88rising, Jay Park, Yohan Kim, Linda Oh, Tia Ray, Fujii Kaze, BLACKPINK, Jhené Aiko, Mitski, Yvette Young, and others shaping contemporary music across multiple genres.

This is an audition-only ensemble, designed for performers interested in Asian and Asian American music in the global industry
