Music Inclusion Ensemble

Course Number
ENDS-411
Description

The Music Inclusion (MI) Ensemble will comprise musicians who identify with a disability or are typically-abled students that associate with a disability identity to rehearse and present works to the Berklee and Boston community. The ensemble will work together in creating and presenting innovative programming, meeting once a week over one semester. Our intention is to have our audiences interrogate the nature of disability, art and excellence in music, presented through the lens of our unique backgrounds, identities and artistic genres. Additional rehearsals may be required outside of scheduled class meetings.

Registration is by audition based on instrumentation and technical capacity. Musicians who have disabilities are encouraged to apply, as are typically-abled students who are supportive of the disability identity.
