Composer Sinfonietta

Description

The Composer Sinfonietta is a conducted large ensemble that is designed to feature Berklee student performers and composers, through the performance and writing of contemporary concert music. The music is written, workshopped, rehearsed and performed by the students. Students participate as performers (winds, brass, strings, percussion, piano) as well as orchestra manager, librarian, and recording engineer. Writing a new piece is not required, but is an option to anyone who participates.

Note that there is an audition process to be accepted into the Sinfonietta.
