This course continues the exploration of global ensemble practices from ENCF-126 Core Foundations in Global Music 1 — Africa and the Middle East, focusing on the music of Asia and Europe. Students will perform repertoire from South and East Asia, the Balkans, Greece, and Eastern Europe, learning to navigate non-Western scales, mixed meters, and tonal systems. Emphasis will be placed on rhythmic precision, cultural context, and ensemble communication through guided performance and listening.
