Description

An introduction to the technique and history of American swing and jazz dances from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s including partnered Lindy Hop, Charleston, and vernacular solo jazz. Students will explore traditional and big band jazz music and rhythms, swing dance partnering, authentic jazz steps, and social improvisation.
