Description

Designed for composers and arrangers interested in writing for wind ensembles, this course will provide a solid foundation in writing for the unique and diverse timbres found within symphonic bands including extended woodwinds, brass, and percussion sections through analyzing compositions for different wind ensemble configurations in different styles. This course develops students’ compositional skills and technical knowledge of writing for wind ensemble.
