Technology for Musical Theater Writers 1

CMWT-520

This course will examine the various technology software applications used within the musical theater industry. Students will learn how and when to use the various digital audio workstations including Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, and MainStage. Industry standard libretto formatting and notation software used to create industry standard engraved scores will be demonstrated for implementation in their culminating experience musicals. Additionally, students will experience the elements and techniques of basic music video production and post-production for promotional material as they develop and promote their work in the industry.
