Songwriting Techniques

CMSP-535

Students enrolled in this course will explore and develop their artistic voice while learning a set of tools and approaches to writing melodies and crafting lyrics. Utilizing a project-based format, students will work to hone their skills in a variety of current genres. Students will learn techniques for generating, developing, revising, analyzing, and structuring their songs to best serve their artistic voice and vision.
