Advanced Interactive Experience Design

Course Number
CMLM-657
Description

Having previously gained the foundational understanding of interactive experience design, each student applies that knowledge to develop a single piece of art that clearly demonstrates a masterful use of interaction within their own piece for clear emotional or storytelling purposes. Through weekly discussions, demonstrations, and workshops, each student ideates, prototypes, and produces a final project that demonstrates a mastery of a single application of interactive experiences about which the student is passionate. Particular focus is placed on the “why” of interactive design: interaction is fun, but why is it necessary for the meaning of any particular piece of art?
