Introduction to Live Sound offers an in-depth exploration into the art and science of live sound production. This course covers the entire spectrum of live sound, from basic principles and equipment setup to advanced techniques for sound system optimization and live mixing. Students will gain hands-on experience with audio equipment, mixing consoles, and microphone placement, alongside learning the intricacies of audio processing, including EQ, compression, and effects. The curriculum extends to sound system design, monitor setups, and stage management, emphasizing practical skills for managing live sound environments. Sessions on playback techniques using Ableton Live, live event recording further enrich the learning experience.
