ASEAN Jazz Composers
ASEAN (Southeast Asian) is a group of jazz composers at Berklee. This performance will debut an array of original jazz compositions showcasing a cross-cultural collaboration between different Asian countries rarely seen at Berklee.
Although they come from different countries, ASEAN jazz composers are bonded by similar Asian cultures. This performance will showcase a combination of their Berklee jazz experience with inspirations taken from their Asian roots. The pieces will integrate a variety of genres: free jazz, jazz-funk, and progressive jazz, all coalesced into the wide, colorful genre of jazz fusion.
