Professional Writing Center

The Professional Writing Center (PWC) is located on the second floor of 150 Massachusetts Avenue, and serves the Composition, Contemporary Writing and Production, and Harmony and Jazz Composition departments. Students can visit the PWC to attend faculty office hours, ask about Professional Writing Labs, sign up to use one of the PWMT Production Suites, or meet with an administrator for departmental concerns.

Department Administrators

Students can schedule meetings with chairs, assistant chairs, or department coordinators to address department-specific concerns, such as:

• declaring/dropping a major,
• population waivers,
• registration assistance,
• Credit by Exams (CBX), or
• general questions about a major or classes within a major.

Some chairs hold weekly office hours (listed on individual department pages), while others require a meeting be scheduled, so be sure to double check if you need to plan ahead. You can also schedule a meeting or email the department coordinators of each department.
