Shiqi (Melody) Qiao, Copresident

Shiqi (Melody) Qiao is a third-semester student majoring in music business/management. She is copresident of the Chinese Music Industry Club (CMI) and former Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) PR leader. An expert in partnership building and project planning, she is organizing the third annual Berklee China-U.S. Music Summit, from its theme, panel topics, agenda, and staffing to its marketing, branding, partnerships, and overall management.
Her career highlights include the 2019 CMI Original Song Competition, co-organizing a show in Boston for the famous Chinese rapper GAI, and establishing a partnership between the CSSA and Youku, one of China's top video providers. She also brought popular Chinese TV shows such as The Coming One to Berklee. This past summer, she worked as a CEO’s personal assistant and was actively involved in organizing It’s the Ship China, Asia’s largest festival at sea.
Qiao believes music is becoming globalized and hopes to strengthen the relationship between U.S. and Chinese music industries by promoting the next generation of musical talent across both countries.
Pinxi (Pixie) Lu, Copresident
Film Scoring and Composition
Pinxi (Pixie) Lu is copresident of the Berklee Chinese Music Industry Club (CMI). She previously oversaw media promotion for CMI and worked as a marketing assistant in Berklee's Office of External Affairs. In the past year, she directed and produced the promotional video for the CMI Spring Original Song Competition and was involved in the 2018 Berklee China-U.S. Music Summit as well as the DoMeSo International Music Summit in Beijing as a writer and graphic designer. Passionate about media promotion and production, Lu aims to discover talent in the Berklee community and serve as a liaison between young artists and the industry. She enjoys collaborating with artists from around the world and across art forms.
Xiexiaomeng Hu (Jack Who), Vice President/Head of Marketing

Xiexiaomeng Hu (Jack Who) is a sound designer, singer-songwriter, and music entrepreneur with a master’s degree in engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Last summer he interned as a game audio assistant at Tencent Games's Aurora Studio in Shanghai, where he gained experience in foley recording and UI sound design (Ring of Elysium trailers), music editing and dialogue integration in Wwise (Moonlight Blade Mobile), and refining sound effects in Unity (Fox Spirit Matchmaker Mobile Game). Hu is a member of CMI and the Berklee Sound Design Network, and his goals for this year's summit include bringing together audio/sound design professionals from the U.S. and China and promoting career opportunities in game audio.
Tianxue (Shirley) Li, Vice President/Head of Operations

Tianxue Li is a composer, arranger, sound designer, and producer at Berklee College of Music. She transferred from Oberlin College of Arts and Sciences, where she received the John F. Oberlin Merit Scholarship and majored in psychology and musical studies. She is interested in the interdisciplinary possibilities of music—with film, VR, fashion, mental wellness, installations, food, and other areas. As vice president and head of operations for CMI, she is in charge of event planning, guest invitations, communications, and more at this year's summit. She was also the concert runner for the 2018 China-U.S. Music Concert featuring Tia Ray.
Amy Piao, Vice President/Head of Concert Production
Contemporary Writing and Production (Voice)

Amy Piao is a pop and jazz singer and producer majoring in contemporary writing and production at Berklee. She studied abroad at Seoul Institute of the Arts in South Korea and is fluent in Chinese, Korean, and English. This year she took over as producer for the Berklee China-U.S. Music Concert after serving as a stage manager for the event in 2018.
Mavis Xue, Head of Media Promotion
Professional Music (Piano)

Mavis Xue is a third-semester piano principal majoring in professional music at Berklee, and a 2017 graduate of Idyllwild Arts Academy in California. A singer-songwriter who focuses mainly on pop, she is also exploring the world of film scoring and other musical genres. She leads the media promotion department at CMI and manages the club's WeChat, Weibo, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. She is also a writer who published her first novel in 2018 on Douban, and is a certificated level 2 winetaster by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
Anqi Song, Marketing Assistant/Social Media

Anqi Song is a pianist, photographer, and market researcher with professional experience in social media management, marketing, media production, and graphic design. She recently interned at Love Survive, the Boston-based entertainment and media company. She has been involved in the CMI Spring Original Song Competition, Harvard College China Forum, GAI (Yan Zhou) Would Tour, and 2019 Berklee-Emerson Chinese New Year Concert, serving as director of photography, video editor, makeup artist, photographer, and other roles. As head assistant in the CMI marketing department, she is in charge of market research and the design of the club’s official website.
Raquel Qin, Concert Production Assistant
Music Business/Management and Music Therapy (Piano)

Raquel Qin (Qin Yuqi) has been learning music since childhood. She is a third-semester piano principal at Berklee with a double major in music business/management and music therapy. Her professional experience includes working on two opera productions at the National Centre of the Performing Arts in Beijing and an internship with Modern Sky Entertainment.
Jonathan Foo, Concert Director

Jonathan Foo B.M. ’18 is a live entertainment producer reputable for his shows. He directs concerts in their entirety, from the music, choreography, lighting, and visual design to the marketing, branding, and overall management. He strives to achieve the highest standards of production and understands the creativity and hard work required to get the job done. His strong acumen in music business and marketing ensures successful promotion and turnout. When it comes to creating a show, he believes that audience experience is everything.
Foo produced sold-out shows for Beyoncé’s original all-female band in March 2017 and a Bruno Mars tribute in February 2018, both at Berklee. He was handpicked to produce Berklee’s 2018 commencement concert alongside faculty, working with Esperanza Spalding, Nile Rodgers, and Rosanne Cash. He was also scouted to help organize Berklee Career Jam in April 2018, which featured Pharrell Williams as the keynote speaker. He worked with Rob Lewis, renowned music director, and Lamont Leak, casting associate for NBC's The Voice, to create the first Career Jam Concert, showcasing Berklee's top talent to industry professionals. Recent highlights include producing Nana Ouyang’s Berklee Scholarship Fund Concert and the 2019 commencement concert.
