Frequently Asked Questions
In most cases, please direct your questions to the chair of your department. They will be able to help with most of your day-to-day needs. If you need further assistance, please contact the dean of your division.
Remember to check your email regularly for important updates and the Faculty Calendar (login required) for important dates.
What if I think there is an error in my paycheck?
If the number of working hours reported is wrong, contact your department chair. Note that hourly faculty are not paid for the week of spring break since no hours are worked, so the paycheck immediately following spring break will include pay for one week, not two.
If "Additional Compensation" is missing or does not show up in your paycheck, contact your department chair. They may not have submitted the form to Academic Affairs. If you did not receive payment, call Rich Vigdor, director of academic budgeting and administration, at 617-747-2919.
If you find a problem with deductions from your paycheck, contact Human Resources at 617-747-2375.
If the federal and state taxes differ over paychecks, please note that Berklee does not determine taxes, tax deductions, or tax payments as they are calculated automatically based on state and federal guidelines. Your tax bracket may change when you pass a certain earnings amount.
Who do I talk to regarding direct deposit, health insurance, my 403B, and other benefits?
Reach out to Judy Heaton in Human Resources at jheaton@berklee.edu or 617-747-2461. You may also find more information on benefits at berklee.edu/human-resources/benefits. Current benefit elections can be viewed and changed through the Benefits tool on Workday (login required).
Who should be notified if I move or get a new telephone number?
