PODCAST: Mark Zaleski at Beantown Jazz

Saxophonist Mark Zaleski, an associate professor in Berklee's Harmony and Jazz Composition Department, said that it was during a "rare moment of peace of mind" that he wrote his song "Mark in the Park" in the Arnold Arboretum on a beautiful fall day six years ago. It will be during another exceptional fall day that he will perform the song, which will be on his early 2017 album Days, Months, Years, to thousands of people at the Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival.

This year's festival starts the evening of September 23 with a ticketed performance by John Scofield at the Berklee Peformance Center and continues from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the following day with a free outdoor concert on Columbus Street.
