Berklee Alumni Nominated for Seven Emmy Awards

Nominees Include Alf Clausen, Joey Newman, David Van Slyke, and Pablo Munguia

Berklee College of Music alumni Alf Clausen, Joey Newman, David Van Slyke, Elmo Ponsdomenech, Brian Riordan, Pablo Munguia, and Stephen Parise have been nominated for a total of seven 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. Exemplifying the impact of Berklee's multi-faceted alumni in varied areas of the music industry, the nominees are recognized for their work on hit shows including The Simpsons, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Dexter, American Idol, and Super Bowl XLII. Clausen, a two-time Emmy winner who is nominated this year for the 28th time, goes head-to-head with first-time nominee Newman in the category Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score). 

The 2008 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where many of these honors will be handed out, will be broadcast Saturday, September 20, at 8:00 p.m., on E! Entertainment Television. The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards air live on Sunday, September 21, 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
