Guitar World: NAMM 2015 – She Rocks Awards Honors Women in Music

NAMM's She Rocks Awards honors Berklee women. Guitar World magazine tells the story of this sold-out event.

February 2, 2015

Three women with strong Berklee ties were recognized at NAMM, one of the largest music product trade shows in the world. The sold-out She Rocks Awards honored alumna Mindi Abair '91, a vocalist/saxophonist nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for her eponymous album; Debbie Cavalier, vice president of online learning and continuing education for Berklee Online; and Berklee trustee emeritus Craigie Zildjian, CEO of cymbal manufacturer Avedis Zildjian Company. Zildjian sponsored the Zildjian Percussion Facility at Berklee and initiated the Berklee's Avedis Zildjian artist-in-residence program.
