The Music Business/Management Department invites you to attend this year's Zafris Distinguished Lecture: Concerts/Touring: Past, Present, and Future featuring Gerry Barad, C.O.O., Live Nation Global Touring Friday, February 26, 1pm. David Friend Recital Hall Mr. Barad will give insights gathered from his long career in the live music industry, where he has been an integral part of the acquisition, production, merchandising, budgeting, sponsorship affiliation and execution of concert tours by some of the biggest names in live touring. The list includes: U2, Madonna, The Rolling Stones (biggest grossing tour to date), The Police, Sting, David Bowie, Barbara Streisand, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, The Who, Rush, Shakira, Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler and The Area Festival. Following his talk, Mr. Barad will be interviewed by Professor Jeff Dorenfeld. SEATING IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.
