Fanfare Contest for Berklee's women composers, students and alumni

Mill Valley Philharmonic will present an orchestral program of women composers in conjunction with International Women's Day 2010 including the winner of a Fanfare Contest for Berklee's women composers, students and alumni of any age or nationality.

The work will be played 3 times in concert, March 2010.
Max. instrumentation is 3(1.2.3./picc)2(1.2./Ehn)22-4231-timpani+1 percussion, harp, strings. (Works for soloists, electronics, or narrator will not be considered.)

The March 2010 International Women's Day is the inspiration for a program of women composers. MVP will celebrate with a program including such composers as Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Ruth Crawford Seeger and Amy Beach.
