Berklee College of Music and Red Bull have announced a new partnership, offering seven current students the extraordinary opportunity to create original music that embodies the energy drink brand’s dynamic and adventurous spirit.
As part of the Red Bull Scoring Challenge, Berklee students will be invited to compose innovative and original orchestral pieces that push creative boundaries while aligning with Red Bull’s content productions. This initiative encourages compositions that capture the essence of adventure, intensity, and experimentation.
The selected student composers will travel to Vienna, Austria, in May of 2025, where their compositions will be brought to life through a series of exceptional opportunities. Each winning piece will be expertly orchestrated by a world-class orchestrator to enhance its impact, and then recorded live by a professional orchestra at the prestigious Vienna Synchron Stage. Participants will collaborate with Red Bull's in-house music supervisors to refine and produce their music.
The final compositions will be included in Red Bull's production music catalog, Sounds of Red Bull, and will be pitched for potential sync placements. The recordings will ultimately be released worldwide through BMG Production Music, providing significant exposure for the composers and showcasing their talent on a global stage.
“I am unbelievably thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with a world-renowned brand like Red Bull,” said composer Teesa D’Agostino(Opens in a new window), one of seven students selected for the initiative. “I feel truly blessed to be at a college with such supportive faculty and staff who work tirelessly to create opportunities and connections for students like myself. It means the world that Red Bull has opened its doors to Berklee, creating such a positive environment for creativity. This experience has been incredibly inspiring, and I am excited to continue collaborating with brands through composing, producing, orchestrating, and content creation as I move forward in my career.”
