The 2015 Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival drew approximately 60,000 fans to the South End for a day packed with live music, vendors, and activities for all ages.
World-renowned bass virtuoso Victor Wooten performs alongside Steve Bailey, chair of Berklee’s Bass Department.
Tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson performs with legendary jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb.
Bassist and vocalist Alissia Benveniste ’14 performs with her band, the Funketeers.

R&B singer Ledisi, a nine-time Grammy-nominee, performs for the Beantown crowd.

Berklee’s Music Education Department leads the instrument petting zoo at KidsJam, an interactive program that introduces young children to a variety of musical instruments and activities.

This year's Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival was yet another success, as the free, all-day event once again attracted a large and diverse audience of all age groups to Boston’s South End to enjoy countless musical acts. This year's theme was “Jazz: The Voice of the People,” although there was a variety of genres represented beyond jazz, including Latin music, contemporary pop, soul, and R&B. This year’s lineup included Alissia Benveniste, Ledisi, Felix Peikli, Jaguar Wright, and groups led by Berklee faculty including Terri Lyne Carrington, Eguie Castrillo, George Garzone, David Gilmore, and many more.
