9:00 a.m.: Safe Spaces, Brave Spaces: Building Toward Belonging in Our Teaching and Learning Spaces
This session will offer up some suggested “best practices” that incorporate concepts of universal design for learning (UDL) and can help build a sense of community. After a formal presentation, we will have a discussion and you are invited to contribute your experiences and ideas for inclusion and belonging.

This session will explore the important relationships between and among objectives, teaching strategies, and assessment tools as they relate to student outcomes. The goal is to leave with a better understanding of how to design, organize, and implement the material presented into your classes in a way that fosters maximum student learning.
