In this video rewind from 2018, dark/pop performer Ashley Zarah returns to Boston for her final Berklee College of Music recital—an acoustic set filled with the tense music from her upcoming LP, Better Mess.

Coining the genre dark/pop for herself and those courageous enough to follow, the Iranian American is driven to teach her generation to speak its truth and enjoy life rather than simply surviving it.
