Taylor Deneen is a singer-songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her signature sound comes from a variety of genres, including R&B, pop, gospel, and jazz. Some of her influences are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and D’Angelo. She began singing at the age of 6 and composing music shortly afterward. At just 21 years old, she has performed for the likes of Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone, just to name a few. She has also studied under the direction of musical director Rob Lewis, prominently known for his work with Christina Aguilera and Toni Braxton. She is a full scholarship recipient and a winner of the Berklee Voice Department’s Outstanding Performer Award.

Most recently, you may have seen Deneen singing in Berklee’s commencement concert, paying tribute to Pharrell Williams with his hit song “Happy.” This summer, she will complete her studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in professional music and contemporary writing and production. If you are hearing her for the first time, be prepared to be moved by her distinct sound and effortless vocals. The future is bright for this promising young talent.
