Mercedes Gala is a singer-songwriter, producer, and performer from Tijuana, Mexico. She started classical piano studies at a very early age, and as her development intensified, she fell in love with singing. Gala took classical singing lessons during her teenage years and was a vocal major at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts in California. After high school, she furthered her musical education in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, then later studied at Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree. Gala has performed in a variety of ensembles, merging all sorts of styles, like salsa, pop, R&B, and soul. Her blending of American emerging styles with Spanish lyrics is what distinguishes her music.
