The Peace and Justice Arts Cafe connects students, faculty, and staff with each other and the local community; explores educating for compassion; and shares cross-cultural experience.

This concert will feature Berklee students artfully speaking out for peace and justice through diverse styles of performative expression. The performance will include an interactive discussion with the audience about how artists inspire and motivate positive action. All members of the Berklee community are encouraged to attend and join in conversation exploring arts performance as a vehicle for peace, justice, and sustainability education.

This project is supported by a Faculty Led Innovations in Education (FLY) Grant at Berklee. Grant recipient, professor, and music director Linda J. Chase addresses social transformation and environmental justice in her work. She anticipates that this event will invite conversation and strengthen coalition-building between Berklee and the local community.
