Luis Celis is an upright bassist from Maracaibo, Venezuela. He's passionate about jazz and classical music, and transitions smoothly between both. At Berklee and as a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, he has had the opportunity to study under luminaries such as Ron Carter, John Patitucci, Benjamin Zander, Edwin Barker, and Danilo Pérez.
This summer, Celis's trio will showcase his latest arrangements and original compositions.
