Indonesian bassist Aubrey Situmorang presents her musical identity through an array of original compositions and musical influences. Currently studying jazz composition and performance at Berklee College of Music, she was born to a musical family and began playing piano at age 4.
Situmorang's bass playing is recommended by renowned bass players such as John Patitucci, Mike Pope, Chris Loftlin, and Steve Bailey. She also recently received a Charles Mingus Award from the college's Jazz Composition Department.
