Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
Making new friends bopping out together at caf shows.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
My favorite class so far was Introduction to Music Education, as it encouraged me to do creative projects such as starting a podcast.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
Running into people in the city makes me super happy when we share a smile and wave!
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
Have fun with your audition; they want to see your personality shine. Berklee is very good at seeing students holistically for not only where they are but how they will grow as people/musicians.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
Pavement on Boylston Street. I love running into friends there and making new ones.
Why did you choose Berklee?
Because of their promise to work towards bettering diversity and inclusion in higher education.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan to teach for two years. Who knows where, maybe New York City or Houston, and then go back to school for my master's degree and eventually get my doctorate and teach at the collegiate level.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
I simply love the ambiance. I love the camaraderie built among students working together and the happiness shared among the audience and all people involved during and after a show.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I want to busk at Faneuil Hall because I work at the Urban Outfitters there and my coworkers and I are tired of hearing the same Ed Sheeran songs and one indie rendition of "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. I just want to go spice it up.
